After more than a decade in software development, we have seen AI change how applications are created. Writing code is becoming faster. Reviewing, operating and taking responsibility for the result is becoming more important.
We kept meeting the same situation from two directions. People without a technical background were producing applications that genuinely worked, and then stopping, because the distance between a working prototype and something a company can run is made of skills nobody told them they would need. At the same time, experienced engineers were spending less of the day writing lines and more of it deciding whether what was written should ship.
Shipvise is the platform we wanted in both cases: one controlled path from AI-built code to a reviewed production release, with a person available at the point where a person is actually useful.
